What standards do you refuse to compromise?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 28, 2008:

I refuse to live like a pig. Or like a using addict.

I cannot tolerate lying as a way of life, nor cowardice. I live on the grid and in the open, and I pay for it, too.

I get it! especially the 'paying for it' part. somewhere along the road i lost my ability to mask my feelings, or to say the 'appropriate' thing rather than the honest thing. sometimes the appropriate thing is right there on the tip of my tongue, when the honest thing leaps over it and into the air……………………….
