Evening gratitude...

Most of my bills are paid, and I have a little left over...that is to say, I'm not broke. The lights are on, and somebody's home...and I'm in somebody's home: my own! We have hot and cold running water, a little food, clean clothes, the dog is fed, cable TV and internet, guitars, and a newly refinished kitchen. The car is in the garage and it runs. We have phones, and jobs to go to. And prescriptions. A computer. The doors are locked. The AC works. We're not sick. We're educated. We're articulate. We're responsible. Our limbs are intact and so are most of our teeth. We can communicate. We can meditate (or not). We can sleep. We can write. I have health insurance. I have retirement. My son is healthy and thriving. We have a dishwasher, a clothes washer and dryer. Heat if we need it. The moon is out. I have an ergonomic keyboard. I have comfortable shoes. I have freedom. I have responsibility. I can live life as I see fit.
